I. Health Protection

• Skin Protection: CAO is low-irritant, but high-concentration undiluted solution (>50%) or prolonged contact may cause skin dryness and tightness. Wear nitrile rubber gloves during handling. If accidental contact occurs, rinse thoroughly with water. Apply moisturizer for itching or discomfort. Seek medical attention if symptoms persist.

• Eye Protection: High-concentration undiluted solution splashed into eyes may cause stinging and redness. Wear impact-resistant goggles during operations (especially mixing and dilution). If splashed, lift eyelids and flush with copious amounts of running water for 10-15 minutes (rotate eyes if possible). Seek medical attention if symptoms persist.

• Respiratory Protection: Low volatility at room temperature; generates minor irritant vapors at high temperatures (>80°C). Heating operations must be conducted in a fume hood or well-ventilated area. Wear disposable protective masks and avoid prolonged inhalation.

• Ingestion Protection: Not for consumption. Accidental ingestion may cause gastrointestinal discomfort. Wash hands after handling. Eating and drinking are strictly prohibited in the work area. Store product sealed in a cool, dark place labeled “Non-edible chemical product.” Keep separate from food items. If ingested, drink large amounts of warm water to dilute. Do not induce vomiting. Seek medical attention with the product label if severe symptoms occur.

II. Storage and Transportation

• Storage: Store in a cool, ventilated, dry warehouse (5-35°C), protected from light and high temperatures. Keep plastic drums sealed, elevated 10 cm off the floor and 20 cm from walls. Use opened containers promptly. Do not store with strong oxidizing agents, acids, or alkalis. Keep separate from other surfactants. Equip with leak containment equipment.

• Transportation: Use clean, dry vehicles with plastic sheeting and tarpaulin covers. Handle with care during loading/unloading. Do not transport with strong oxidizing agents or foodstuffs. Follow non-hazardous goods regulations. Prefer early morning or evening transport during summer to avoid high temperatures.

III. Emergency Spill Response

• Small spills: Absorb with cloths/oil-absorbent mats. Seal contaminated materials for professional disposal. Rinse affected area with water.

• Major Spills: Establish a safety perimeter; contain spills with sand/leak-proof pads; pump out leaked liquid. After cleanup, rinse the ground with clean water; discharge wastewater only after meeting discharge standards.

IV. Environmental Safety

• Treat production wastewater through biochemical processes to meet discharge standards before release; avoid large-scale discharge into water bodies.

• Collect and recycle discarded packaging centrally; do not dispose of it arbitrarily.
